Knowledge is one thing. A student can know the value of the music notes and the pitches.
Skill is another thing. A student can know how to clap, or to play notes on the keyboard. To combine Knowledge and Skill successfully, one MUST add the Virtues: the student has to be focussed, determined, patient, hard-working, reaching for excellence, etc. It's the combination of all three that helps music students progress the fastest. I have witnessed this over and over again in my private lessons. |
